Default IACV smoking?!? Thermostat not working?

OK my mini me is smokin! Not fast smokin, but smokin literally. The smoke is coming from the waterline connected to the IACV. The water line goes to the vertical port on the iacv, and then another line goes from the iacv to the tb. There was a lot of condesation-smoke coming from the waterline on the IACV, and water was bubbling and hissing. Also my themostat isnt picking up changes in the temperature, but im not getting a CEL for it.
HELP

are you getting the coolant temp sensor CEL???

This sounds like a new setup. Did the head gasket get installed properly?? Is the coolant/water bled properly?

It could be an air buddle in the system, causing the hot water to stay in the IAC, and making it REALLY hot. Tryflushing out the coolant/water and getting rid of all the air by doing so, and make sure al the air is bled. Shouldn't be overheating or throwing that code after that...given that's the problem

thanks for the help. Yeah the head gasket was installed right. To empty the collant all I did was drain it through the plug in the radiator, then refill. You think this would cause an air bubble? If so I should flush the coolant with a garden hose and then refill, right?

Thanks again

Na, cracka.

You need to fill the radiator to the top, then run engine until normal operating temp, fan comes on twice, then open the coolent bleed screw, keep filling the radiator until fluid comes out the screw opening in a constant stream. Close screw. Then top off coolent resivior.

that's probably how you got the air bubble. When you drain the radiator, most of the fluid from the engine drains as well.

Do as this diggity above me said....keep the radiator cap OFF until t-stat has opened up and coolant is flowing through radiator
