escalads do have pretty purple hid's, and how the **** is fake wealth rice, and im not gonna put them on ,my integra im gonna put them on my civic
all OEM HID's use bulbs in the 4600K-5500K range. What causes the purple is the refraction of light through the projector lens. When you are outside of the focused area, it looks purplish. When the light is shining at you, its white.

These are audi HID's shining on a garage door. Audi's have the blue-flash effect on the street, more so then a lot of other models. If you are looking at the light from the lit area, it will look white. If you are at the edge of it or above it, it will look blue.
trying to make your non-projector headlights produce the purple effect will A) not look like a BMW, but will look like a ricer with purple headlight bulbs and B) will not be mad tite y0

I also noticed you have a type R. Integras have projector headlights. If you have HID's, installed properly, it will create a similar effect to a BMW or Audi driving down the street. Don't worry, it will look good and bling with normal 3600K HID bulbs.
Edit: oh - the civic.... well, it'll look more like the color of an acura TL or Mecedes then.

OEM HID's dont exceed over 5000k most likely - because the higher it goes the less light output there is...
now that wouldnt be very functional would it mr.dumbass...

wow.
wow.
Sounds like the best thing for you (since you're obviously going for looks and not performance) would be a pair of those "HID" halogen bulbs they sell on ebay. I think you'd be the happiest with those. Some of those are actually pretty bright, with the purple/blue tint you want.
first off im not a show *** , i have nothing on my car that in anyway whould be considered show, and excuse my inexpierence on hid's but i thought they were all the same just had different colors, and i didnt no there was a performance factor involved , yes they light the road up a little better, but what ever i cant ask a fuckng question without ******* ******** coming out and giving me stupid answers , all you needed to say is which ones whould look more purple/blue than the next , but no im a stupid show ***

6000k is ur bulb. as for the haters, com'on now...grow up. my hids are 4300k, which is considered the best for hid becasue the actually light up the streets, not just for looks. you want to buy **** that works for you, not for others. by buying "purple/blue" hid...you show others that ur lights are that color, but u don't see **** at night...sucks. the 6000k bulbs perform just like the $20 **** u get from ur speed shop! dont waste ur cash....give it to me!

most purple ones out there? 1 MEEEEEEELLLION K bulbs
Nah seriously, I have 4300K Phillips bulbs and they look plenty blue, just like OEM HID's. ALL cars w/ OEM HID use 4100-4300K, nothing more. The color differences that you see between brands are purely a result of the optics, not the bulbs. If you retrofitted in some OEM Audi projectors, you too would have the same blue/purple flicker effect, while still using 4300K bulbs that put out the most light.
7000-8000K and up bulbs really start to be not much better than some colored PIAA halogen bulbs.

Ahahaha, buddy, go get your eyes checked, no OEM hid is purple. Its all 4100k, the flicker is due to the projector housing design.

01-720 - Just ignore all the ********. Most people on this board seem to get a huge head when their posts reach over 1000, it's honda-tech for ya. They also don't seem to understand that people have differnt tastes, and not everyone likes what they like. You'll learn, trust me. Find things out on your own, and avoid the ******** on this board. My 2 cents.
For those that were cool about this topic -
By the way - I don't have very many posts, but I've been on this board for over a year, it doesn't mean I have to post everytime I open a topic. I just get the info I need and go with it. So if you want to bash, you're more than welcome.

Sure it does.......when you do not use the search function. There are lots of threads that would have explained what you needed to know.
