I just go my crank polished and need to replace the main bearings, but can't find out the color code. The old bearings were so bad, I can't even read the codes...
The bearings are the last thing I need before I put my motor back together so please help.
It is a 98 EX (D16Y8) SOHC 1.6 VTEC

I remember that the codes were engraved onto the block, right where the oil pan gasket goes. Follow that order. Just look under where the oil pan gasket and pan goes, you'll find out what I'm talking about.

If you still can't find it then try looking in the Chilton or Haynes manual.

The crank bearings are coded into the crank. BUT, if you had the crank cut and turned, then you can no longer go by the codes, you'll have to measure the thickness by hand to get an accurate reading.
