engine swap info?
my car is messing up and had a great offer from a friend today, he has a 93honda civic engine laying around and was offering to sell it to me today for only 200 dollars, all it needs is a bearing and only has 40k on it...was wondering if this would fit in my 90hb std? i am thinking it should...i know i'm going to need a new tranny, si possibly? and he has an ecu for it? is there any other parts i'm missing? thanks for the help...
You can use your stock tranny.
What trim 93 does he have? Si, DX, CX, LX.....???
You can use the 88~91 Si ECU or you can convert your car to OBD-1 and use the ECU made for the engine you are looking to purchase.
Using a different tranny than that STD one will be better, but if you don't have one then you don't have to do it. You have to use a 88~91 tranny any way you decide to go.
