Default Help replaced the bolts that go up to spark plug!!!!

Well, I had to replace those bolts because I broke mines. Now when I move in reverse or forward, it squeeks. But if I stay in one spot and just rev, no noise. I didn't know the torque specs so I just twist it a quater of turn. Do you think those screws are capable of make my car make those noises?

I sounds like something with your tranny, maybe throwout bearing? Go to Autozone and get one of those cheap $14 manuals and do it right, if it still does it you have your answer.

Well I don't think its the tranny. I turned the car off and put it in neutral and when I push it back and forth it still makes that noise. Do you think that tightening those nuts too much might restrict something from work and causing the squeaking.

Have you even checked to hear where the squeak is coming from?
And if your engine is off and that noise is still being made by just rolling your car around in neutral, then that can't be it.

Somewhere under the engine. Not sure where though. In the middle under the engine because when I push it I can hear the noise from both sides of the car.

sounds like your motor mounts squeaking to me. did you just clean your engine or anything? listen to the driver's side mount when you move the car. either that or some ball joint in the front suspension.
side note- the throwout bearing is what the clutch pressure plate rides on when it is disengaged.

Nope, I didn't clean my engine recently. I didn't do nothing recently. The only thing that I have done was put those screws in. Does anyone know what those screws connect to on the bottom?

That appears to be your cam lash, you might wanna get a manual and find out what the torque specs are cause those are kinda important. It could be that just revving is not putting your motor under load but moving the car is putting enough stress on the cams to make them slop around? Or check your wheel bearings and CV joints. Maybe those are squeeking? Wheel clearance maybe rubbing a tire? just my.02
One other thing do not use that air-ratchet on your motor, that's just dumb and a good way to strip/break your bolts.

Well, everything is fine now. I just loosen the screws up and tighten it but not so much and now the sqeeking is gone. I didn't know those screws made such trouble. Oh and Lonefuzzy79 that's not my had in the picture. Its just a picture from cspeed.com that I found.

I don't know what you did, but if there was a squeeking sound while the engine was off, it was definitely not those bolts that hold the valve cover, no way no how. They screw into the engine head.

Side question: whats a throwout bearing?

LOL!! WTF!!, ANYWAYS I REMEMBER THAT I BRAKE ONE OF THE VALVE-COVER BOLTS A LONG *** TIME AGO, BUT LUCKLEY I HAD A FRIEND AT HONDA AND HE HOOKED ME UP WITH A NEW ONE FOR FREE. THOSE BOLTS SHOULD BE PUT ON WITH A RACHET AND SHOULD ONLY BE SNUG, OR FINGER TIGHT.

;{O = CHINESE MAN!!

Those bolts cost me like 6 bucks a piece. And I think you have to do more then hand tighten it because it was kinda hard to take off when I had to replace them.

You're an idiot, congradulations. Why was my question funny? The second person to post mentioned that it could be the throwout bearing, so I asked what it was. So shut the **** up you idiot, and stop making fun of Chinese people.

if your car squeaked when it was off it is your engine mounts. Mine squeak, no big deal.
