Quick Clutch Question, will an ITR Disc + PP be enough for my all motor setup?
Hello My N/A Fellows,
Anyways, i have a b20vtec setup(*low compression b20b + b16a2 head) and all i plan on doing is basic stuff like header, exhaust, IM, and maybe ITR cams. I have a 6 puck unsprung currently installed (because I was turbo'ed a while back) but its wreaking havoc on my tranny. I need something with very stock engagement and holds the power, i was thinking ITR DISC+PP would be good. I have seen turbo-r's with the same clutch putting down 300hp no problems ( I believe torque + high rev's kills these clutches) I have found one for $60 so far, i only plan on drag racing at the strip with street tires/drag radials..but even then, i may only go a couple times to see what my setup runs.
Thanks for all your input!
*edit: where the hell did my post go??? weird.

One of my old ITR customer was supercharged at one time, making roughly 230hp and 160tq or so and had a ITR clutch that last him about 40k miles or so.
Another customer thats making 190hp is using a ITR clutch that has put down nearly 30k miles.
I'm at 185hp and have 20k miles on my.
In all, it depands how often you are at the track and how rough you are at the strip.
Now, if you are planning on using slicks at the track, thats a different story.
I'm running one on my 2.0L setup that was also on my B16, it's holding up, but starting to get spungy, i'm replacing it with a CM stage 3 and aluminium flywheel.
I'd say spend the extra cash and just get something a little better
