Default Tranny prob

I have a Y1 LSD JDM tranny. Here's the problem. From idle, when I depres the clutch, I have to wait 1/2 second for it to get into gear, any gear. At 8k RPM, the 2nd grinds and the 4th, the 3rd is hard to get in.

Anyone knows what the problem could be?

Thanks

When was the last time you replaced your clutch?

Maybe its ur clutch cable, or even the clutch itself, like stated above, I dont have a JDM tranny, but honestly i dont believe that it would be such a substantial difference then the usdm mechanical wise. As long as you have plenty of fluid, your best bet would be the clutch cable, or clutch itself.

I would check on 2 things then come back.
1st your fluid level.
2nd see if you can adjust the adjuster on your tranny.

We thought it was the clutch, so I replaced the clutch disk with a 6 puck ACT disk. I kept the stock pressure plate. That didn't solve the problem. The tranny cable is adjusted right and there is plenty of fluid.

I was thinking about the shift linkage. It has been custom made, would it make a difference if one of the 2 rods was too long or too short? How can I test this?

The tranny has been opened 3 times and apparently everything is right. Could it be something internal that would make most gears be hard to get into gear each time?

Check all your shifter bushings, loose shifter can make for hard shifts. Also make sure your tranny/engine mounts are in good shape.
