Quick question on Clutches: B16 and B18C5 bolt pattern difference
Im pretty sure the B16 clutch has 9 bolts and the B18C5 has 6 bolts. I know its been discussed somewhere before, but couldnt find the answer. Can anyone confirm this? I think my pressure plate is shot and my buddy has a new B16 clutch plate and Id like to snag it from him if it will work before he sells it.
some PP/flywheels can accept 9 bolts, some can't. I know Toda/Spoon can use 9 bolts and the exedy flywheels have 9 bolt holes. You could still just use 6 though.
so the R clutch plate has 6 bolts and the B16 has 9 correct? Ive got the CM flywheel so as long as the PP has 6 bolts Im assuming it will line up properly.
funny you asked, i pulled my cm flywheel off of my jdm b16a and put it on jdm b18c and never even counted..........straight across swap (91 b16a to 98 b18c)
