I'll probably be there. The Foumula is missing an exhaust manifold after I broke a stud on the flange trying to fix an exhaust leak after a failed header install, so I don't know what I'll be driving. Why do we play with cars? Oh yeah ... because it's fun!

I'll be there! Assuming I can get the fuel mixture sorted on the car and it will run. I guess I deserve it for messing around with things. Anyways, if I make it, look for number 24 DSP to be in 1st place!

Last I looked, there were over 400 entries for the Peru event. Holy crap... Run over 2 days? Kudos to the club hosting this event.

karen, have you ever driven Matt's Old's? you're in for quite a surprise. that's the car he honed his skills on. it's a torque monster (for those of us used to 4-bangers lol 5.7L of rod-pushin' fun)

the best part about those W-41 cars is no one knows about 'em! I know of a certain Achieva SCX that should be one to watch out for in GS.

They do make great torque and HP. However, they are not exactly light and they unfortunately have a rather crude suspension under them. Having once owned a 90 Beretta GTZ and a 91 Z24, I know this all to well. That 2.3L Quad-4 motor is great until it pops a headgasket. The W41's were even worse at doing this.

But back on topic, I will be there this weekend. Looks like STX has lost some competitors though.

As for that certain Achieva SCX.... well... I think that's part of the Mullet Racing Team too. Or, so we (me, Matt, Pat and Rich) decided at the first Topeka ProSolo.

I'll be there 160 DS
Vern will be my "low # guy"
This should be a good test to see how close the 330ci and ITR really are.

I'm hardly on here these days, though this board was the very first board (before the H-A/H-T split) that I joined a loooong time ago.

Nope, haven't gotten the new shoes yet. Hoping they make it in tomorrow. For those that don't know (Carl obviously does ), I wish I could've been able to get the 215/45/16 Azenis (damn backorders), so I settled on the 225/50/16 Kumho MXs. It'll be an uphill battle for me to "relearn" on the tires, hence my **** spanking comment.

"Old school style"? I don't think it gets any more "old school" than a crusty Oldsmobile Gutless!

If by "old school style" you mean YOU chase ME all weekend and I beat you, then I'm ready to be owned

Are any of you guys going to the practice sessions on Friday? I'm going to try to make it there, so I can try out my new "shoes".

Aahj and I should be there by noon. We are heading out tonight around 9pm and driving straight through. We've got an early check-in at the hotel for 7am; few hours of sleep and then off to the site, assuming weather is good.

I don't think Matt will be there in time for practice runs, so I'll just be driving the Olds cold... but I seem to do okay in cars where I just jump in and drive. Sure, maybe I'll improve 2-3 seconds between my first and second run, but I do just fine overall.

We've got full tread Kumhos for rain tires, so I'm hoping for just a little bit of rain... nothing good enough for use of dirt stockers....

Mike, do me a favor and let Aahj know I still have his penknife.

See y'all there!

Ugh...why do people HOPE for rain. Beat me in the dry or just lose!

Ah yes, the boyscout knife...they are going to kick him out!

Mike - no budget for rain tires.
