1/4 Mile ET time ????HELP
Hi..The track that i am running at his a elevation of 665FT..I am wondering what is my corrected time if i hitted a 14.2@99mph at the high elevation track..thanks
If you run a search on google.com, you'll find some site that has it, but since it is only 600+ ft, maybe drop a tenth or so to get an idea of corrected? It wouldn't be much different.
Lol! You think that is high? Try running your car here in NM. The elevation at one of the drag strips where i run my car is over 4,000 feet above sea level, and another is over 6,000 feet above sea level. My best 1/4 mile time to date is a 14.8, probably would be quite a bit faster at a lower elevation, i don't think that 665 feet above sea level is hurting your 1/4 mile times at all.

01GSR is probably right, maybe, just maybe 1/10th of a second difference.
I have an altitude chart, and it only goes down to 1200ft. above sea level. Bandimere Speedway here in Colorado is well over 5,000ft. above sea level I believe, it sucks
Depending on your Trap speeds we're about a second slower here than sea level

01GSR, Do you run at River City Raceway? If so what times do you see other stock R's run there?I went there about a month ago and my best 1/4 time was 15.12sec. Yes it could be my driving, but I don't think sio I tried everything, feathering the clutch, dropping it at different RPMs, but that was still my best time. I think I was hooking up pretty well. I didn't pull anything out of my car (spare) and I had just over half a tank of fuel.
Anyone, could it be the heat here, or the weight of the fuel, or did I just get one of the weaker R's...?

Your going to have to get the altitude of the track...
Hopefully that link works, it tells you how to read the chart and do the math.

Now you can see why our times kinda suck out here

Car has a few bolt ons, nothing internal yet, just your basic mods, and a set of drag radials are used when i go to the drag strip. The car felt really strong from the factory though.

not sure if this is correct, but, I heard that most dragstrips are equipped with timing equipment that compensates for temperature, humidity, and altitude. I this true? Anyone else heard this?
