It's easy. You should be able to get it off with a hammer, 1/2" wratchet with appropriate socket, tool from tool kit and a front stand. The hammer is not necessary but sometimes helpful in breaking looks the axle lock. You need the stand or something to lift the front up and steady. A paid of scissor jacks from a couple cars and a wall may work in a pinch.

You could buy a bike stand, or you can do what I do, pull the front fairing and hang it from the rafters. Just takes 2 tie downs, a chain, and a come-along. Only cost me $25.

Or do what I did, buy a stand for the front, use it, then return it. Easy does it!

Or just go down and support your local store, hang out get to know the guys their. The head mechanic there just let me borrow his to take the wheels off then brought them back with the wheels to change the tires. It's worth the extra money to pay to keep them in business and have a physical person to deal with in person.

Please homie, the money you pay for one of those things, you paid for two of them for the price they paid. There taking your money because they mark **** up so high (some places) so I beat them by bringing it back to them. Now, I only done that once and it was only because I was never going to use it again until I needed to change that tire again, plus theres a different one I want to buy. So you do what you feel is good for his/her business and I will do what is best for my wallet!

I make $7 per stand on handystands. I don't stock anything else b/c few people actually buy them. Maybe a few pitbulls but nothing else. Few people do their own work on their bikes for one reason or another anyways. In fact, only new racers that bring their **** in to be prepped seem to pick up a stand.

Default Post jacking.....

I'm no store owner or anything, but I don't think that they make a whole lot of profit on those sorts of things. The price small stores buy parts for is often more than what internet wholesales sell for.
I have mixed feelings about buying something, using it, and returning it.
From the Home depot or lowes, ok whatever, but if it is from a local motorcycle shop that is different....
Just don't ever go in there and ask for advice on anything, they give that away for free to help people that buy stuff, not just to be nice.

fellas, I did it once and never done it on anything else before. But the stand was a 100 bucks and I was short on funds to pay for the work to get done by a shop so I had to buy it then return it. Funds are short for me right now. I had to do what I had to do.
