Whats the best fitting spark plug wires for my 94 gsr?
I'm looking to replace my stock plug wires, I need to adjust my valves, and replace my cam seals, and I'm going to repaint my valve cover (coating is flaking off) and I figure I might as well change the plug wires while I'm at it.
Whats the best fitting plug wires for my teg? I know I've used Accel and NGK wires in the past, the NGK wires I had on my probe gt and they were fine, however, the Accel wires I put on my Talon tsi awd didn't fit as good as the stock wires did. They were way too long, or too short and they didn't fit securely in the plug wells either.
I dont want to make that mistake again.
Also, I'm looking for a reasonably priced set of wires too... I seen the magnecores on groupbuy for like $70, which is fine. However, I'm not looking to spend a whole lot more than that, I could care less if Spoon, or Mugen, or any of those other crackhead companies have a set for $6000 or whatever. A wire is a wire, it carries a spark.

msd....i have a set of magnecors and i don't have the fitting problems as much as other people, but there are times where it does get loose. msd is what i'm trying next and are what people recommend
plug wires dont last forever, and since i gotta tear into everything, i'd rather do it all at once
ps. they already have 120k miles on them

Do NGK wires come in any other color besides blue? My teg is red, and everything on it is black or red.
I had the same problem with the Accel's not fitting very well, although they seem to work just fine, and are well made. I've tried the Moroso's and those were the biggest pieces of crap!
They all broke the first time I had to remove them to get at my plugs!!! I'm putting on my new MSD's this weekend. These are BY FAR the nicest wires I've ever seen!

i don't think wires really have much of a difference besides color so anyone should be fine...... btw, i have magnacor wires and they work great, just like NGKs
I have MSDs. They don't fit as well as I thought they would. For some reason, my #2 wire plug is longer than the rest. WTF!? It still works though. The wires are noticeably harder to plug in than stock, but what would you expect from a non-OEM part? But once you get them on, they go on nicely. It's a pretty tight fit. Looks really nice too.

There are differences between wires...Nologys for example are the only wires with built-in capacitors.
If I were you I would go with NGK's...I have to pick up a set and thats what Im getting.

I would not spend the money on Nology, again. I had them, no diff, except weight reduction from a lighter wallet
I just replaced my Magnecores that were ~2 years old with MSD. I have an MSD ignition and they fit pretty well and are beefy, so should shield well enough.
Generally, don't replace them till their worn out and just go for something with the fit and shielding you want, then consider looks and cost. Manecore and MSD are good but pricey at $70 or so. If I were to do it again, I would prob just get NGK stock...
Take care,

Stock. I have magnecores and I have had bad luck with them. From what I have heard they are a good company but mine get loose and one of my wires got cut
Guy who had my `Teg put Neuspeeds on there shortly before I got it. I haven't had any problems.
I'm sure someone makes Neuspeed's wires for them, maybe someone here knows. If you think color coordination is important, they're yellow in color.
