Is anyone here camping @ Summit Point this wkend?? I want to know what the costs are & where the grounds are?

Cost is usually $20, but usually it is included in registration fees (if you're racing).

You can camp anywhere. I usually stay in the paddock b/c I'm too lazy to walk. There are plenty of spots in the infield woods. The extended paddock area (gravel, to your forward and to your right as you enter the paddock). Or, the inside and outside of the carousel work well also.

"Camping is allowed for participants not spectators.
All preregistered people (Time Trialers, Instructors, Racers, HPDE 1) will receive wristbands in the mail if they are preregistered by Friday. If they register after Friday, they will pay at the gate and get a refund. Hyperdrivers pay gate fee.

My broke *** will be camping as usual, prob in the Worker lot or close to there. (Those new bathrooms are soooo nice!)

I will once again be testing the limits of how much gear can fit in a Miata...

Anyone know what time Friday nite that the track closes?? We plan on getting there about 7-8 pm.

Do I need to leave earlier so I can get in & get the tent & stuff set up??

I'm guessing you will have plenty of time to do what you need to do if you get there by then.

 

Ditto, I'm guessing the gate is open until at least 11pm for participants (if not all night.)

I am camping too. Plenty of room for camping gear in the Subaru now that the rear seat has been removed.
