i bought my crx with a swap about a year ago.. the guy told me that he blew his old y1 tranny( ripped the motor mount bolts out caue the rubber part broke) ) so he put the y1 gears into an s1 case but the other week i blew up my diff so... i now have a perfect set of internals from my tranny and i am thinking of selling them. but i dont know how to tell if they are y1 or something else and i was lied to. so here is couple pics (sorry about the size i just want you to be able to look close at them cause they are gears). the tranny ran fine no grinds or anything and everything looks in good condition as far as i can tell.
