Default street tires at the track?

I would like to run street tires at the track alot of people are saying you can not cut good times on street tires. My car is as followed, b18c1 running t3/t04e turbo at 8psi with 440 rc's and hondata. Power at 230whp tires I run are 205/40/17 kumho 711's good traction on street, but track not very good at all what type of tire press would be best on 17'' and launch rpms for best 60ft's or should I go buy slicks? what size slick the car is 95 integra gs-r.

First off, those 17s are gonna kill your times. I would either (A) Buy a set of 15" drag radials and stick on an old set of steelies for track use or (B) Invest in a good set of slicks on lightweight drag rims. I would say 22x8x13 would be good for your application, but don't quote me on that

Obviously, you're gonna get better times with the slicks, but drag radials hook pretty well too.

i ran on my 15" kumho 711's. I have a gsr motor, 60-1, in my civic coupe. I pulled a 12.77@122 spinning through the traps. 60' was around 2.4.
