Default Holy Ring lands batman..

You cannot tell much from pictures, perhaps someone has experience with a welded block and/or head (either of which I dont know really need to be done yet, but, Im anticipating the worse while hoping for the best):

My goal was to perform some upgrades (which most of which are already on the way, ordered before I knew of the extent of damage, some anti-freeze in cylinders as you can tell by pictures, but Im think it might have been due to oil pushing itself through the head gasket, past some anti-freeze and shoving it into the next cylinder) to get 450-500whp, but not sure if this is possible on a repaired block and/or head (again assuming it will need repaired any).

Comments welcome on the damaged ring lands... ;p

There was a person on an MR2 board that built their motor for 600hp or something crazy like that, and within in the first 20 minutes, it blew. The reason was because the engine builder used a cracked block and welded it. I would assume that if you are gonna push an engine to it's limits, then there can't be anything wrong with it

What I was affraid of. Still no idea if anything is cracked. Talked to a local machine shop for the sole purpose of fluxing the head.. he mentioned he couldnt flux an aluminum block, but, can an aluminum head....? I dont get it. All mangaflux is, is an oil based dye that reacts to flourescent light/black light right? or no?

<shrug> In either case, I'll know if my head is cracked or not on Thursday.. only $25 to mangaflux it.
