I have a CL and a TL Type-s. I recently traded my ITR for a RSX base. I noticed that when I start up the RSX in the morning it idles around 1500 rpm. My ITR did the same thing. I know it does this because it is warming up. I'm curious to know why the CL and TL do not do this?

 

FIRST off, how come you traded the rare ITR for a commoner? secondly...i heard mercedez and bimmrs do the same thing. so i have no idea. maybe something about the electronic throttle?

The ITR had alot of miles on it. It was just time for something new.

 

actually it idles at roughly 2k...it does it so it warms up the engine faster.....

Yeah I know But why Doesn't the TL or CL do this?

The ITR doesnt have a electronic throttle.
And I seriously doubt that its because it warms it up faster.

Its probably because the internals are not yet to temperature for the engine to idle and run smoothly
