Default 14.2 type-R

I have been here for some time and read a lot of stuff.
I must thank everyone for there help.

One question I have is about someone's type-r.
A friend of mine said that this guy ran a 14.2 in his type-R.
He removed the door panels, front seat, and back seats.
He also has an AEM and thats it!

I was very skeptical.
He also supposedly has the time slips.
Can this really be true?
I thought gutting the WHOLE inside is like 75 pounds and equivalent to shaving .1 off of quarter mile?
All thoughts are welcomed.
Thanks everyone

Here in Quebec(Canada) a stock Type R can run 14.45. I see the guys and the sleep time. No mods, nothing except a good driver ... yes 14.45

are you sure that it's stock?? the mph is pretty high. that car should be a 13 second car for that mph.

Well you can tell by the 60ft that he is not that good of a driver LOL (no offense intended). That car should be a 13 sec car, seems like he has a lot of top end. I doubt that car is barely stock. Probably has a good set of cams on that bad boy.

Yes and the 0-60 ft are very bad for the 1/4 you have post... with 2.2 0-60 ft the car can run under 14 easily !!!

Isn't that Carlex's car? I think I remember him running a 14.2 @ 99 with AEM and suspension only?

THe pic above is my car. Temp was 40 degrees so you guys with criticism for the 60' time try and get traction at that temp. I had an AEM and TEIN NA's with 1/4 tank of gas and no spare. Other than that it was full inerior and the OEM hood (Have a CF hood now). THat was on RE010's at 23 psi.
