Just informing all of the PNW autocrossers/road racers that our club, Chuckanut Sports Car Club will be having its annual Road race in Blaine, WA. If you have never heard of this, it is quite amazing. The industrial area of Blain is closed off, and most of the turtle markers in the road are removed for the annual Solo2 event. Applications will be soon avilable at http://www.chuckanutscc.org and is very limited to experienced drivers from the area.

Even if you don't run, it is a great experience to come and check out some great drivers and a fun course in the middle of city streets!

 

You're referring to the "Street Solo", right? This is not a "Road Race", but a pretty fast Autocross run on city streets. No Novices allowed.

I'd like to come up and do the Street Solo sometime, but the dates always seem to conflict with other events. This year the dates conflict with the NWR Double Regional.

 

Street Solo if you want to get technical, but it is a race on the road.

Either way, it's a good time.

I had a hell of a time finding grip last year with my street tires on the FD RX-7...Hopefully this year will be different, with the CRX..
