I got a set of these a couple months ago for really cheap. The dealer had them for a very long time and wanted to get ride of them. Luckily I came and bought them for $100 a pair. I know cusco is a great brand, but their cam gear sprockets do not have any degree marks..... They are also held by 4 of those screw things.

It bought these because they were a great price. usually 140 each=280 pair.

Will these be easy to tune, and will they slip?

I've been looking at my dealer's 01' catolog for your cam's. They seem to only list B16A and the Honda cam sprockets all have 5-6 screws as you referred to them.
But they shouldn't slip, also if there not engraved on the cam's then normally you get instructions to inform you of the proper way of degreeing them correctly.

The only other engine they list is a D13C which they also sell a mild racing cam for.

 

they are just as good as other cam gears, they dont slip, we have used them a lot and no prob whatsoever, only that they dont have the timing mark, but if your mechanic has done enuff honda, he should know what he does.

 

Racer-X: Really its is suppose to have 5-6 screws? Well mine has 4, did i get an older version?

 

Norm atleast for the newer verison is 5-6 depending on car make. Some differ because some dia of the cam sprockets are bigger and smaller like you may see on Mitsubishi, Mazda or Toyota which also make cam's for. From the sound of it they sound like 1-2 yr old model. 00-01 models don't look they have changed any except there sus. line abit.

If you had a pic I would be able to help you abit more..but I would believe it's probably 99 or 98 model.
