My speedometer jumps all over the place, even goes backward.....HELP!!!
What year car do you have? My 89 prelude uses a speedo cable that runs through the fire wall and into the IP. The bushings (or something) wore down or came loose in the upper part of the cable, making it very sloppy in there. The result was exactly what you described. It would happen at night sometimes when I was a little tired, and started making me think I was having flashbacks
sounds like distrubutor problem according to what my two other friends decribed happed to theres, same thing. did u just recently change the distrubutor? or do this swap? if so possibly whoever u got the distrubutor from sold u or gave u a fawked up one

distrubutor and plugs all new (ngk)....the thing that i don't get is all the rest of the tech (rpm, gas, temp and odometer) are all in working order
can it still be the VSS or just bad speedo needle?

speed sensor fuse is blown probably. it's in the fuse box in the car, same fuse as the alternator.
