Default Keeoin' it straight

So, Im pretty new to the racing of my lude, I just it a week ago. Everytime I go to race someone off the line, I rev it up to like 3000-3500rpm, and then go...when I go, I always tend to sort of like slide to the right a bit, and have to turn the wheel like alot to keep it straight. Does this happen to you guys? What can I do to eliminate it? Does that slow me down somewhat? The thing is that I race my friend who has a 95 GSR with Intake/headers/exhaust, and advanced timing, and on 50lbs 17's, Me on the otehr hand am completely stock except for an Intake I ghetto rigged on...Ive raced him 5 times, 2 times rolling, and 3 times off the hole, both times rolling I have won by atleast a car...When I raced him off the hole, The first time, I lost by like 3 cars...next time, I lost, I was by his door, next time, I lost by a little less...Ive only been racing stick for like a month before I got my lude, and it has 135K miles, Is it my driving, or my car, or just that GSRs are fast or is it that I cant start off straight?
