Default Prop valve install 99 EX

I'm doing the Teg rear disk brake conversion and am wondering how easy the Teg prop valve is to install. Is it easier to just swap out the whole MC/brake booster/prop valve together? Help!

if you get a teggy prop valve youll have to bend and re flare your brake lines , just get an si prop valve or a ctr prop valve...as for the mc and booster get a teggy that will fit.

Does the 99-00 Si prop valve drop into the EX MC? It's the same MC so this should be straight forward?

the 99-00 si prop valve is identical to your stock one accept that it is 40/40 for rear discs. Depending on what car your master and booster came out of you may still have to rebend the hard lines.

It's the stock MC from my 99 EX. Will I have to rebend the lines to install the 99 Si prop valve?

It should be the same. All you have to do is look at the new prop valve and the one that is currently in your car. They should be identical on the outside. I know a 99 si prop valve is identical to the one in my 98 dx. The prop valve is mounted to the firewall behind your intake manifold.

I have chk'ed the PN# for the PV and Master Cylinder on the 2000 EX's and 00 Si's and the MC's are the same #..

You will need to order the PV from a SI (99-00).

Fish says the prop valves in the 99 EX and the 99 Si are the same. Midwest says they are different. My thought is that they would be different because the EX has rear drum while the Si has rear disc. Anyone know for sure?

PS I know that the MC is the same in both cars.

externally they are the same. The 99 si prop valve is a 40/40 which is for rear discs. The 99ex looks exactly the same but the proportioning is different. If you get a prop valve from any other generation car it will not drop in. You will have to rebend all kinds of hard lines. I have a prop valve from a 95 integra right now sitting i n my garage that I can't use cuz it won't fit in my ek without a ton of work. I just got a 99si prop valve and it drops right in all of the hardlines fit without adjustment. and the 99si prop valve is set up for rear discs.

The 95 integra prop valve fits in my eg though without any bending of lines. The master cylinder and booster came out of a jdm integra for my eg and it fit right in also.

In my ek I had to rebend one of the lines to make the 95 integra mc fit.

Good Luck

Sweet. Thanks so much for the info. Looks like I will be buying the 99-00 Si prop valve to use with my stock MC. Any thoughts on changing the front calipers to Teg calipers? I hear the Teg calipers are slightly bigger than the EX calipers but both use the same rotor.
