Can ECU's be repaired??
Yesterday i decided to try out my PW0 ecu that i was saving for my other swap... When i turned on the car, i got a check engine light right away and it gave me a code 4, crank angle sensor i think, and the car would not idle at all, it was about to turn off. Then i put back my PR3 ecu and everything was back to normal with no check engine light. This means i have a faulty ECU right?? Is there a way i can fix that so that i can reuse the ECU?? Please give me some info on this...
Thanks
Thanks
Yeah, the other (pr3) ecu works fine, that is the ecu that the car came with... but i was just trying my other ecu that has been laying around for more than a year (pw0) and this is the one giving me problems...
Well if anything put it back in and see if the CEL on it just glows steadily cause if it does that means the ECU is shot if not it may not just be compatible with your car/wiring? Im not sure??
As for fixing one I dont think its possible unless you know exactly whats wrong with it and I highly doubt you will be able to figure that out??
