Default transmission question

alright been having a strange problem with my del sol. it seems to almost stall out when pulling out of first gear when the AC is on and it is slugish without the ac. I gotta rev to about 3-4000 rps with out the ac on to get going and all the way to 5000 rpm with the ac to get going. don't know what this is thats causing this. ha the car up on blocs fixing the brae (bad caliper had to be replaced) and had my brother try to accelerate the car in first gear. I noticed that the drivers side wheel assembly rotates, but the passenger side did not spin at all. can freely spin it with my had though so I now the brakes are not stoping it.had my brother try it again after I spun it and this time it spun. ???? Also I tried spinning forward and backwards while in 1st gear and it spins freely either way. WTF??? I want to now is any of this supposed to happen??? I thought that when it was in gear it is only supposed to spin in the direction of the gear (forward in first, backwards in reverse) any one got any ideas as to what 's going on here?

do you hear any grinding noises? it sounds like you have a broken axle, thats my guess. since one wheel spins like normal and the other doesn't spin at all im guessing you have a broken axle, that would also explain the power loss.

well it's not a the axel, they are both new, not even 6 months old and they are silent as can be, no noise what so ever. How would I now if the cluch was getting stuck on the fly wheel? does it make any noise or do i have to take it apart to tell?
