Default Brake replacement help

Hey guys,
I'm helping a friend who has an 98 Accord V6 to replace his brake pads. I have a couple of questions on the process.

1) With pads, does the part with the little metal "hook" onthe pads goes inside?
2) How do you line up the groove on the caliber with the dots or whatever on the pad in the rear?

Thanks!!!

yes, the "hook" is the inside pad.

I'm not sure what dots and grooves you're speaking of. You shouldn't have to line up anything. Simply set the pads in the bracket and reinstall the caliper.
