what are you getting them for. the blues won't handle a big drop for long or handle high spring rates.

I got Tokico illimunas but I have a big drop

I say 0-2 inch drop get KYB AGXs
Anywhere from 2 inch and on get the tokicos.

Only problem I had with them was I ripped off some of the thread at the top where the shock mounts. Still was able to bolt it in.

adjustable is the way to go regardless of the brand. the hp's or blues are substantially stiffer than stock but the come without adjustability, and besides its like what a 15-20 buck diff between the 2. so go with the illuminas, or just save for a mean suspension setup.

illumina's are nice........kinda takes a while to dial them in w/ the coilovers....also w/ whatever wheels your rollin on....I really like how easy it is to adjust it! Just need a flat head screw driver, and start clickin away!

I'd recommend Koni yellows for big drops, specifically the Neuspeed versions with shorter strut rods.
I went from Illuminas to Koni yellows...the difference was night and day better. Besides one of my illuminas began to leak using oem springs. I figured why not upgrade??

I have had my illuminas on my 99 Si and my 93 hatch... They are the best... I have skunk2 coilovers on the Si with tokico ill. shocks and they work great together and on the hatch I have Progress springs with the shocks... Couldn't ask for a better ride... They work well at the track too.... Lighten the front and stiff'n the back and you'll get less weight transfer... Hope this helps a little...

By the way the 99 Siis for sale... Any ???'s just contact me... Gary

I have koni yellow neuspeed editions and they are amazing, I heard the illuminas and agx's tend to blow out with lower setups (i.e. - lower than prokits) and the yellows have height adjustablility built in! what more can you ask for in a strut? The only problem is they are a bit pricey compared to the illuminas, but well worth the money.

with H&R race springs, go with Koni yellow's, thats what a friend of mine has, he use to have illuminas and he belived that his illuminas couldnt handle the springs, so he went w/ koni's and he love them
