b20vtec stock bottom end and ctr cams valve clearance?
gonna build a b20 vtec
stock bottom end.
with a vtec head
ctr cams.
would the valve reliefs need to be modified and whats involved.

which engine are you getting? the jdm b20b will just barly clear but i wouldnt recomend it. we ran for 30k miles on stock b16 cams, we put in ctrs and maybe 5000 miles later it smacked a valve.... if you want anything mroe than stock cams deff get the reliefs cut
ill probably get the block from hmotorsonline so either b20b or b20z.
hmm i guess i better look into puttin deeper valve reliefs.

definately you would have to open up the valve reliefs when running a bigger cam on a stock b20b block. I would even do it with stock cams i.e b16,gsr etc Because what if your on the dyno and need to advance or retard cam timing to make more power.
It's easy to do.
I've had to do this to with ever b20/vtec motor I've put together.
