Default i need some help, accord giving trouble

well, i have a honda accord 94 and well the other day i was driving it and all of a sudden the tach went crazy, the car staretd to stutter and cut out. i couldent get the car started after that so i went trouble shooting, at the end i ended up at the main relay. now i tapped on it and all of a sudden the car started with i turned the key. i was very happy and than i went to the movies with a few of my friend and after i came back i turned it on and was just letting it warm up and talking to my friends that it started to sutter and all of a sudden shut off again. i got the car to start, and drove it home slowly cause it woudlent reve past 2000 rpm, it would start to stutter. the next morning i took out the relay and fixed it, i basicaly redid the solder joints. now the car runs fine, well atleast i though i did. Today i was just driving and since i live on a hill i have to push the car hard sometimes. ANd when it reved past 4000, the tack went crazy again and the car stuttred, it didnt turn of though, it became fine after a minute or 2 than i reved up again, and it went bad again. NO check engine light no nothing. Can anyone help me? Anyone ever had this problem before? o ya, i had installed a new altenator in it, and well i just realized that one of the bolts that hold it are gone, i guess it was loose or something, but do u think that would be the cause of this problem. i mena the altenator moves a little but everything works fine in my car, the sterio, nothing dims. well i hope someone can help me. thanks

I dont know if this might help you, but I had a similar problem. My ICM was going out. I replaced it and it fixed the problem.
