I am just wondering are the sunroof assemblies from an 88-91 CRX's all interchangable?? I could have sworn that there was no difference in them but? Anyone know if there is?? I sold one of my sunroof assemblies (out of a 91 Si) to someone with a 89 Si and he said that its not fitting right that it sits like a 1/2" off or something?? I told him to make sure that the sunroof was mounted right and that it was closed all the way. But still am curious now is there any kind of difference in the CRX Si sunroofs?? Thanks for your help!!!

 

No, there are no differences. One thing that I found however, is that the tray itself is made of very soft metal. The little tabs in the back where it sort of clips into place bend very easily - that could possibly affect fit.

the head-liners are different the 88 doesn't have the seat-belt warning up by the mirror hence the morror cover is different. I know it's not what you were asking, just a heads up if you sell a later model head-liner to somebody with an 88

Yeah that I knew and I was pretty much positive that they were the same considering that I have sold ones in the past and they werent put into a 90 or 91 and they fit fine.
He sent me another email and guess what??!! His roof has liked caved in a few years ago and he said ne never "liked" how the body shop it!!! I was like OK? So you think that I sodl you the wrong sunroof when your car was previously messed up?? Its like me buying a hood and then telling the person it doesnt fit but oh wait I forgot to tell you my car was smashed in the front and it sits about an ince to the left!!
