Default Keepers

All of the recent wear posts and mushrooming, etc, just thought it would be worth it having it's own post.

oem valves(itr)
TI Retainers (skunk2, nitride coated)
B16A2 w/ 50,000 miles.

Leave the keepers alone? Worth replacing, and if so anything other than oem, if sticking with an oem valve ?
thanks guys

If you're head has silver-colored keepers, chunk them and buy some ITR/GSR keepers. They're black-oxide coated and much harder then the silver keepers. You should also note that the keepers that came with early B16 heads will NOT allow aftermarket retainers to pull up all the way, causing coil bind and broken camshafts....not to mention broken retainers.
