im having a slight problem putting my axle in. hope fully you guys can help.

i have a 93 dx and i just swapped in a d16z6 from a 95 si with abs. anyhow, the axle goes in the tranny but it wont go in the hub (passenger side). does this mean that my hub is messed up?

 

you're probably not going straight into the hub....pull the hub away and make sure you're going straight in.

I've never had any problems

 

ive tried that many times. ive done tons of motor swaps but this one is just being difficult. i tried to stick it in straight in but it still doesnt go in. how do you know when your hubs are messed up?

 

I just replaced my axles this weekend and had the same problem. You have to wiggle the hub up and down while pushing the axle in. I also found that jacking up the lower control arm so that it allowed the axle to be straight helped a lot.

 

thanks for all the replies! i was examining it a bit more and noticed that the splines are messed up inside the hub. so i guess i need a new passenger side hub.
