I removed passenger side airbag in 2000 civic si. What should I use to cover the hole? I've seen the airbag trays. Just wondering if anyone has done anything other than the tray. Opinions welcome. Pics welcome too.

 

You can make a custom panel out of fiberglass that houses guages or a TV or your CD player or a VTEC controller, etc.

 

First ask yourself why you want to do this. Your SRS light will always be on and your insuracne may not cover you in the event of an accident.

 

I don't know if it was custom or not but I've seen a 3 gauge pod put in the airbags place. I think i remember it being sold somewhere online. Look around maybe you can find something like it.

 

well the first time I crashed my old civic at 110 and the air bags did not deploy. SRS light is already removed, Insurance might not like it with out an airbag but they might like the 6-point cage and the 5 point RCI harness. Plus I don't build my car for the insurance companies. they already screwed me once.

I was thinking maybe something that flips up, that way it's not there all the time and can be consealed for the steal me people out there,

 

Anyone have pics? Not sure what to do, but maybe I will just pay the $70 for the tray for now.
