Default help! engine wont start

I was driving in a pretty bad storm when i hit a deep puddle. My engine died and i had to pull off to the side of the road. When i tried to start it the solenoid just makes a single click and then the lights on the dash dim, the fuel pump comes on and then silence. Ended up having to have it towed home..... Today I removed the air filter....which turned out to be pretty damn wet. then i pulled the plugs...they were wet and there was NO carbon on them which seemed odd since i haven't changed them since i bought the car 2 years ago. The ecu is throwing code 92 - Evaporative Emission Control System insufficient purge flow

what should i do next?

this is a 95 civic ex btw..

never heard of this, sounds odd. If you have upgrades to your car (alot) let a proffesional tuner/mechanic look at it. If has nothing (stock) take it to your local or dealership (not a little freakin'car dealer ship) the ones where you can have it tuned up or fixed.
I have no clue. just hope you stiil have the warranty on the car (doubtful)

sounds liek u hydrolocked your motor. when u have a cold air intake and u go through a pudle of water it can suck water into your motor and lock it up. wose case scenario u need a new motor. good luck

i'm thinking it's hydrolocked too...
tommarow it's getting towed to a shop, we'll see what they say.

anyone know if this would be covered under insurance? I have full coverage.

sounds hydro'd to me.
try Import Auto Salvage for a new engine.
Best reputation that I am aware of on H-T for engines.

try this before you tow it, take out the plugs. spin the engine over. re install the plugs. you may have gotten lucky. this happens from time to time.

I tried that already. With the plugs out, the starter solenoid makes a single click, then the lights dim on the dash and then nothing.... it's almost like the starter is jammed er something but that wouldn't explain the code 92

before we jump to conclusions about throwing the motor away... just take off the plugs, take off the EVAP solenoids and other parts on your intake manifold.. leave it in the hot sun to air dry for 3 - 4 days.

Your insurance might cover it if they're lazy. If you feel okay with it, put the intake back to stock before they see it. Not that I would ever do that.

that happend to me when my head gasket blew. i could dry it out and as soon as i turned it over it would fill up with coolant and hydro lock. it did not do any thing to my motor i just needed a new head gasket and it was fine.

My friend did the same thing. They totalled the car and cut her a check.
