Question about cluster bulbs
All they say on the bulbs themselves is Toshiba V-2, so I'm not sure if the V-2 is the size or not. I bought another cluster for a tach in my dx so I've always used the old bulbs from the extra cluster for mine.
It depends on there function.
Indicator?
Warning?
Direct illumination?
Indirect illumination?
the sizes, color, light output, and prices all vary.
I think there's like 15 different little bulbs in the cluster.
I could look in the parts manual if need be.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Custom Rex »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">what size bulbs are in the stock 1990 crx si guage cluster?</TD></TR></TABLE>

i just want to put hyper white bulbs instead of the amber ones that are there now so which bulds should i change
-Direct illumination?
-Indirect illumination??

-Indirect illumination??
I've only had my cluster out a couple times and I never really took it all apart. But, I don't think it's the bulbs themselves that make the overall indirect illumination amber. There are two or three white bulbs that plug into the top edge of the cluster, mine burnt out. (How I know).
They shine thru a piece a plastic that's orange that's how you get that
soft orange color to your gauges at nite.
I guess if you want bright white light, take out that translucent orange
piece that runs across the top, underneath the cluster hood.
If you look up under the hood you can see it. Yuo don't even need to
take it out to see it. It's a little strip of orange plastic embedded in the top
edge of the cluster.

Thats what I was thinking 4crx4me, the bulbs are all the same, its the cluster that determines the color etc. All the bulbs should be the same except for 3 along the bottom that are slightly larger.
