I think if you spray paint them, you will be very sorry! Now getting your rims done by a paint shop might cost more but you won't be dissapointed. Not to mention, if you mess up it's going to cost twice as much to get them fixxed!!

what can you do to mess up to make them cost twice as much to get fixed ??
if you know steps and techniques used in painting cars, painting rims should be cheap and easy and will last a while

just go to an auto-parts store and you're bound to find the right shade of bronze...
then just finish coating it with 2-3 coats of Dupli-Color WHEEL COATING clear....it will protect it forever (mine are still flawless after 1 1/2 years)
