I have a JDM DC header on order(should be in tomorrow or monday). Does anyone know the length of a test pipe I would have to have made or would it be better w/ a hi-flo cat(performance wise). The hi-flo cat I already have(2.5") does not have a fitting for a o2 sensor, where would I put that, in the cat or after? Tried doing a search but came up empty. Also, will the header come with all the necessary gaskets and bushings needed to install? Thanks.

 

The DC JDM 4-1 header collector ends in the same spot as the other JDM headers so the lengths will be the same. If you are OBD II the 2nd O2 bung gets installed at the outlet of the cat. Looking at the rear of the cat with one of the holes of the 3 bolt flange in the 12 o'clock position the O2 bung needs to be in the 2 to 2:30 position. You will need to cut out a part of the heat shield for the wires to clear. As for the gaskets being included, it all depends how you ordered it. But for the DC JDM you will need a 2-1/2" ID donut, don't use the Honda donut it is for 65mm (2-9/16").

 

is this header suppose to give more hp than the oem jdm itr header?

 

i think it provides just as much power. Afterall it was designed after the JDM ITR header.

 

actually it is designed off of the mugen header
