ok, i finally got the car right and decided to put the bottle in. throw a 75 shot at the engine and see what it would do. the engine is a stock 92 B18a1. now i know the engine will handle the shot but at what RPM should i set it to spray at? i have a seperate shift light that is hooked up to the NX kit so it will spray at what ever RPM i set the shift light at. and just if you were wondering its not the shift light that is on my tach.
Next problem, i haven't sprayed on it yet and im having wierd idle problems. when i start the engine it goes to two grand and instantly drops to a normal idle and runs fine, right? WRONG! it use to do that. Now it goes to two grand and drops down to about a grand then bounces from a grand to a grand and a half. what in the hell causes that. it will run down the road fine it just has a wierd *** idle problem that is driving me crazy.i need to fined out so i can get this thing back on the track and i want feel like an idiot in traffic when my car idles all stupid.

idle sounds like you took off a vacuum somewhere and forgot to hook it back up. check under the hood for any loose lines or wires.

tried that all the vacums are hooked up. but i have a vacum leak in my break booster but i dont think that would affect any thing, or would it?

 

as for nitrous, and when to use it.. RPM's dont' matter, its whenever you want to beat the hell out of your motor. most people, including me, dont' think its a good idea to squezz under 3K.. too much load, and all that N20 going into the engine, and well.. its too much load. try at higher RPM, besides you won't get that hot either..

heat is another thing, your going to want to change your plugs, go alot colder, 75 is a decent shot, but a 50 would prolly wipe out a clean set of stock plugs.

where did you get this nitrous kit? how did you have it wired to a RPM actuator? shift lights? damn.. sounds like a space ship. my Nitrous switch is the center of my JDM EK9 steering wheel. whenever i want it.. if it ***** up, its my fault, not cuz some wire fell off.. or your RPMs wern't high enouhg..

i dunno, if i were you, ide go to a speed shop, and talk to some cats about nitrous.. alot of poeple dog on it, cuz alot of poeple have blown engine.. *raises hand* but, i wouldn't have it any other way.. there's nothing better than pulling up to a Poon Tang GT, or 5.0, and just walking away from it.. Fully Built 5 Series B16, 100 shot wet NX, and runs 12's.. you can't ask for anything more.
