very few people even know about these haha.
I have a set on order but it's several weeks out. I've seen them installed on one other vehicle and they didn't seem to need an alignment...although the door closing geometry was a little different.

No, 2 years ago was still AEM, Spoon and Toda!
Js Racing blew up with their unusual intakes, then the engine dampener, fender bars, etc...theyre all must-haves now. Every JDM company has their moment to shine, whats fun is forecasting which is the next flavor!

nah, the fender bars did blow up like 2 years ago. I remember JDM DOHC SIR and others getting them a long time ago and the ITR forum starting going crazy, then it died out. I remeber because I hosted Dave's (JDM DOHC SIR) pics of them installed on his car. Not sure if they were J's though.
edit: err, not 2 years ago quite.. he got the pics to me ~dec 01 and I uploaded them in feb 02. I think they were A-Sport's or something. I don't have THAT good of a memory

I'm using the A-Sports fender brace and I had to realligned my passenger door. I had a buddy help me hold the door up while I tighten the bolts. People always ask me is it worth the upgrade? Yes because it supposily stiffens the chassis. No because I don't feel any difference. I personally would just weld a beam to connect the frame together. That would be more ridgid then then the brace holding up by bolts. Thats my opinon.

I'm ordering a set anyway. Acura doesn't release chasis specs to the consumers (with reason I suppose) so I have to do testing on my own.

they work hard in a crash to prevent the unibody from crushing...therefore allowing your body to absorb the impact
if you still must have this crap, dont weld anything...make something to bolt in...bolts will shear better in an accident I suppose. Or, do what stunna Sakai said, and at least do something bling with them like lamb0z0 doors.

These things don't even go as far as the middle point of the engine bay (where the crumple zone is). If anything they help in a crash...if the engine and front are being pushed back that far (ie hitting a concrete wall at 100mph head on) I'll want something in there to prevent the front from going through the firewall.
