VS Racing - B18bturbo Viren - I am tired of all the B.S., Lies, and crappy service
I purchased a set of 1000cc injectors a while back from Viren. Guess what, they didn't fit because they weren't machined out to fit a Honda. Hey, honest mistake right? Well I let Viren know they were wrong and he said he would get some more in. Well I told him just get us some 900cc injectors instead (I thought the 1000cc were a little big at the time). He said no problem.
So a week or so later I get a call about 10:00 A.M., it's Viren. He wants to meet up and give me my 900cc injectors. At this point I have been asleep for about only 3 hours, but I go and meet up because we are getting ready for a race and need the injectors A.S.A.P. So I show up and he hands me 72lbs (could be 76ers, not sure) injectors and tells me they are 900cc. I am pretty tired so I say "cool, thanks blahblahblah"
As I am driving home I make a couple calls to let the team know what I picked up and they let my retarded self know that no way in hell is 72lbs even close to 900cc. They proceed to remind me that lbs to cc is (lbs*10.5) so (72lbs*10.5=756). And I am really pissed at this point (tired is a given) and I call Viren, again. I proceed to tell him these are not 900cc injectors and that not even the"NEW chinese monkey math done underwater" could make 72lbs=900cc. But then the Viren lays tells me "the injectors number written on the injector is only at 80% duty cycle and if I tested them at 100% duty cycle I would get my 900cc"....huh? So does that sound like 100% B.S. or just 80%? EFIguy, Tony1, please let me know if I am wrong here.
I called his supplier CPRacing.com, and then Precision Turbo, and RC. They all let me know that the injectors are all rated at 100% duty cycle not 80%. So a 72lbs is only gonna' flow 72lbs. An interesting sidenote, CPR let me know every set of injectors they send out comes with a flow sheet showing the injector specs and flow results. So anybody that bought injectors might want to know where your flow sheets are.
So to get back to the story, I tell him I need an injector that flows a true 900cc. He tells me they don't make one and that I need to contact RC if that is what I want. So I said fine just get me the right 1000cc/96lbs I originally asked for and we'll be cool. He then lets me know that since I have caused him so much trouble, that he would not guarantee, warranty, support the next set of injectors and whatever I got would be it. But he agrees to fix the situation. I am highly pissed at what he said, but I can be cool until it's over.
So I had the injectors returned to him and waited 5 days to give him a call. I ask if the injectors were ordered. He says yes but they are on back order and he does not know when they will be in. An injector supplier running out of injectors, now that's a classic. So I think to myself "Oh, I guess the 100% duty cycle injectors are custom one off units". So I call CPR and they let me know they had the 96lbs and had just sold the last set right before I called. I guess if I had called oh...say an hour maybe 1,2,3 or 4 days ago I coulda got some. Well he told me they would have them in Monday for sure.
I called his shop today and no one answered. Not him or any of his employees. I called his home, no answer. I don't even know where his shop is located. Does anyone? I have been horn-swaggled for the last time. Viren has obfuscated the truth and misled me through this whole ordeal. At this point I just want my money back, no talk, no games, no bull. I want 100% of it not 80% but 100%

I've always had a great relationship with Viren....I'm sorry that this happened to you though.
I'd just like to welcome you to H-T as I've heard that you're one of the Texas Gurus....I loved the TYWASH crx....
aOh and one more thing. If you're running 900cc at 100% duty cycles, then you should consider buying bigger injectors. You're probably running high fuel pressure at that point already(I'm reffering to youre question..lol)

i'm just curious, but who runs 100% duty cycle on there injectors??? I've always heard it's not good to run your injectors at 100% duty.
You people in Honda-tech Land may love him but no one in Texas does.

Pain is what I am going through. We spent thousands on a race car that can't run at it's full potential because of no injectors. Pain is watching your car sit, while you wait to dynotune it for a race coming in two weeks. Pain is telling your sponsors "No, sorry don't have the car running, yes I know I said that a week ago, sorry." Nothing directed at you Paul, I am just worn out from this. I have never had a situation like this.

i had a similar experience. his business practices are questionable and his prices and information are very misleading.
i asked about a set of ingalls camber kits for a 92-95 civic/94+ integra for my friend. first time, he told me they are $75 for the fronts and $65 for the rear, both shipped. i thought that was a kick *** deal. so, i called back about 2 months later (May 03 or so), and this time Viren told me they were $75 for the ingalls fronts and $65 for the rears PLUS shipping. i referred to the price he quoted me two months prior but, he told me that, coincidentally, ingalls has raised their prices as of May 01.
okay, i gave him the benefit of the doubt. i called my friend to tell him to place the order for both the front and the rears. i IMed Viren to confirm the order. he then asked me, AFTER the order was placed, i might add, "does your buddy want both of them or just one?"
so, i told him that i thought the price of $75 for the fronts and $65 for the rears, were for (2) fronts and for (2) rears. he said, "that price quoted was for EACH camber kit"
i asked him, who in their right mind would order ONE camber kit?? his response was, "it depends." i asked him, it depends on what?! he then tried to reassure me that he is the largest distributor for Ingalls and they only come with one camber kit for each box. yeah right. i told him that i purchased an exact same set of ingalls camber kit for my car and they came with a pair in one box. he tried to argue and argue but, his argument didn't hold water. his only response was, "that's weird." weird or not, i told my friend to call him back to cancel the order and i told Viren that we'll take our business elsewhere.

i have been doing business with Viren for a couple of times , bought thousands of dollars worth of parts , so far he has only dissapointed me once , he sent me 40mm Tial wastegate instead of 46mm ( i have waited this thing for months , but its not Viren's fault ) , i was really pissed off at that time , i told him the next day , he said he would give me $135 credit ( cuz i couldnt be bother sending it back to him , instead i sold it to someone )
i do realise that sometimes Viren is hard to get hold on to , but hey nobody is perfect
Viren is a stand up guy in H-T , i bet he would be able to explain whats going on here

My girl and I had a little hiccup in purchasing a car from him. We payed for our half of shipping up front. When the car was a state away, the truck driver called and said "I need a check for $960."
Uh...we already payed for shipping.
"Well, it says COD on here."
Can we call you back?
Called Viren, we got everything sorted out. Stick with it, hes very good at pleasing his customers....

Hmm....make me think. I am about to finish my car and I have some Siemens injectors that I bought from Viren a few months ago. I purchased the 72lb injectors, but the spec sheet that came with them said that they flowed at 68.3lbs. Viren stated this was because of the fuel pressure that they tested them at. It was tested at 43psi. I am a little sketchy on this because I am a little on the low side with 72lb injectors and I am fearful he sent me 68lb. Anyone want to shed some light on this issue.
I have been talking with "Mocanic" aka Randy Hughlett about Viren Singh's business practices. I happen to own two business, so I know a little bit about dealing with suppliers and customers. First of all, Viren asks for 100% payment up front for all orders. Most other suppliers, ie motormatrix, artturbo ask for a reasonable deposit (10-20%) upon ordering and the rest upon delivery. Why full payment up front? Randy ordered two Precision turbos, fuel pumps, injectors, etc, thousands of dollars worth of parts paid in full. Now granted Randy has not had problems in the past, but now he has not received anything this time. He has made three separate orders. One for turbos, two for fuel system parts. Viren keeps asking for time because everything is on "backorder". What is going on? Doesn't anyone keeping anything in stock? Viren says he does not want to send the subsequent orders in until the first ones are filled in. If you ask me he might have spent the cash or done something with the money from the first orders and now he's using money from the latter orders to pay for the parts. Very similar to bank float. Now this is just a suspicion. If everything was fine there would be no cause for suspicion. I would like to know has anyone been to vsracing and doesn't viren keep simple things like fuel pumps and injectors in stock? Seems like good business to me. Myself, being a customer of Randy, who himself is a customer of Viren, told Randy aka "mocanic", why not ask viren for a refund?
I quote "that would take an act of Congress."
I rest my case.

I have ordered parts from Viren and he never charged me till after he gave me a tracking number. Also he always kept me up to date and gave me a tracking number when my item shipped.

Exact same here. I wouldn't even say no problems, more like a pleasure to deal with. But, no business is perfect I've found out. Hopfully your problem is a relatively isolated one (for Viren's sake) and you get it sorted out soon.

i have been doing business with Viren on a weekely basis for the past year, i have spent over $5000 in parts from him, he has NEVER done me wrong, i send him an IM, he tells me if he has it, if he doesn't he calls right then to find out how soon he can get it
one time i remember specifically, i order a Venom Intake manifold ($700 peice of ****, but that wasn't Viren's fault), i need it that weekend and this was like Tuesday, he orders it to come in over night, he doesn't get it, he calls Venom it got shipped wrong, etc, so anyways, Friday rol around and he doesn't have it, UPS still had it on their dock in Mesquite TX, so Viren drive to UPS, gets my ****, complained to UPS, drops a few more things in the box, and shipd it out overnight for saturday delivery, and charges me ZERO extra
bottom line, I have personally been doing business with VS Racing for over a year now, Viren has the BEST customer service of any company i have ever dealt with, i wish my employees had the same customer service skills as him.
i can see that problems do occur, and very often it is not the retailer fault, but it is do to misinformation from the vendor, myself being in retail, i understand how things can and do happen

that's the shipping companies mess up, they do that **** ALL the time, my friend had a B18C5 delivered to my store (we get tractor trailers in daily so it wasn't a big deal), so anyways, like 3 months later i get a bill from the shipping company for the shipping charges, and it took them 9 months of me sending them copies of the packing slip that said it was pre-paid for them to finally leave my *** alone
