Rear seat ... broken ... help!!

Rear seat ... broken ... help!!
A friend successfully managed to break the **** on the rear seats (used to flip them down flat) of my G3 the other day. I now cannot put the back seat down.
Has anyone ever had this happen ... and if so how the hell do I fix it? The **** snapped off such that the remaining plastic is level with the thread (and still screwed on obviously).
I cannot find anything in Helms to help so could anyone that knows please help!
