The owners will never spend any $ because they don't care. Soon they will be forced to sell the land and it will be turned into houses. Only a matter of time.

Any of you thinking about checking out Barona? They just set up a new track out there. 1/8 mile. Nice hook up though.

an 1/8 mile track has never really appealed to me, but, if i was going to do an 1/8 mile run, i would prefer to go to Qualcomm, as it is closer.

but, i do wish that they would renovate Carlsbad raceway. would it be ranked as one of the shittiest tracks in all of California?

i believe that qualcomm will not be holding the race nights in fridays and saturdays in the future. In the article in the union tribune about barona they mentioned that friday nights will be for racelegal. I think they permit ranout or something at qualcomm.

And yes they need to pave that damn road. I have not been there in a while but the last time i went i was pissed about it.

i live right by it, they arent going to be fixing anything because they have to make that dead end road above carlsbad go all the way thru so im pretty sure they will be buying him out soon and taking over the land.

its a pretty big piece of land.. if the raceway actually fixed it, it would be a pretty cool track IMO.

at least they don't have grass pits...The nearest track here has teh almighty grass pit area for you to wrench on your cars in between runs

One reason they probably don't pave Carlsbad is because it would increase the value of the land and in turn raise the property tax.

I've been to the Barona track, it's alright. Better than the Q, but a car burned down to the ground there because they didn't have adequate fire equipment. A car flew off the end of the track the first night it was open too.

they will never plan to clean up carlsbad.. that area is mostly homes and industial.. 1/8 sucks ***.. look in to when oceanside airport is closing... i have heard people say that , oceanside airport will close in a few years (around 2 years) if they do they should make that place a track.. barona is kinda far

Barona is only about 35 minutes away from us, pretty much the same distance away from the Q. Sup King, it's PJ.

RaceLegal will continue to race at Qualcomm and Barona. New race dates at Qualcomm will come out soon.

Our track is the main straight of a race track. Everyone loses it trying to return to the pits at a million miles an hour hehehe
