Best all motor cams for daily driver in a 00 itr
Well my goal is to make about 200+ whp and i am stumped for cam choices.
I narrowed ir doiwn to three
Spoon
Skunk2 Stage 2
Toda Spec B
The only difference is that the skunk2s would be new and the spoons have 7000kms on them and the spec b's have roughly 10000kms on them. They are all roughly the same price.
The car is a 00 ITR with jdm itr pistons, spoon 2 layer headgasket, skunk2 standard size high compression valves. Compression is around 11.5 : 1 with this combo and will be ran on 91 pump gas.
My car is a daily driver, i just want it to be a screamer on/off the track. i also may drive the car in the winter and dont want to sacrifice anything.

well from those choices, skunks and todas will be best. and you of coarse can daily drive that setup. tune it nicely.todas are more expensive than skunks, but skunks are just as good
Nice i am looking into the same thing - 00 itr, ctr pistons = 11.75:1 c/r. and am looking into the same cams, just need advice/influence on which to get.

The spoon's will give you a nice midrange bump, not much up top. Not worth it for dropping money on a cam if you goal is to make 200whp. I would go with Skunk2 Stage 2's for you set-up and compression. Tuned should have no problem making 200-210whp.
If the prices are roughly the same then id choose Toda B's out of those three.
With cams as large as those you are required to buy valvesprings and retainers.
I would look into EF-1 products as well.
200whp can be acheived using ITR cams.

i think im going to do the whole skunk2 setup, its new compared to the other stuff so i dont want to take chances with used parts
