Well I had my first accident today. I was on the way home from my haircut, and I came to a stop sign at the end of the street. I went to turn left and the car across from me went to turn right, I guess it was just lack of judgement or I just didn't see him or something but he hit the passenger side fender of my car. He called the police, the cop showed up, took down our information and gave us our options. The cop was actually pretty nice.

I hit a 2002 Ford Ranger, his car had no damage besides the hard plastic bumper he had was scuffed up.

My car got it pretty good, passenger side fender, corner lense and headlight are messed up, along with the front bumper, and he also popped the front tire.

I was really mad, for one he tried to say to the cop that I just ran right through the stop sign without stopping, which I did not. Two I had my car in the paper ready to sell so I could get a new RSX Type S, something i've been lookin forward to for so long, and as soon as my car was sold I was going to get it, but now I don't know how this will affect the selling of my car?

Cliffs Notes: Got in accident, my first one, my car messed up pretty good, truck is just fine.

i woulda flipped a wig if someone hit ME, then tried to blame it on me in fronta the police. sounds like a SPIT in the face is in order for him sorry for the damage.. and yea.. it probably will hurt your trade-in value.

 

It ended up bein my fault cause the guy didn't have a stop sign and I did. But I definately did not run the stop sign, that pissed me off cause I explained to him how I did not run the stop sign, his wife told him to stop arguing with me about it, and as soon as the cop gets the thats the first damn thing he says.

 

The damage doesn't look too bad. If you can, get a check from *his* insurance company, go to a 'yard and pick identical parts and toss 'em on there.

hey dont feel bad, my first accident was a 1987 white ford ranger with a 2" ball hitch

 

new front fender and corner light and your set to go.. i bet if you were to look around on http://www.car-parts.com you could get a fender in excellent shape and same color shipped to your door for less then 120 bucks.. then a new corner and you should be good to go

 

I need a new tire and bumper too, that and I have to see how much its gonna be to fix what was wrong with the truck. The truck has one of those bumpers made out of that hard black plastic like the side skirts on the DX, and that got a little scuffed up, nothin big, so i'm hopin it won't be too much.

On a happier note I wont the lottery today, $8

 

Buy a new fender and sell it good as new
