i have the 93 civic lx motor and was wondering if swapping the intake mani was a good idea or not? it helps a hell of alot on on the y7 and was wondering if it woiuld be considerable on my car. it seems lioke a simple enough onto the y7 and was wondering if its evenm compatible for my car. thanks tj

 

I vote for the Z6 intake manifold.

Shorter runners, plenum isn't as large.

Why???

The runners on the D16Y8 intake manifold are fatter and shorter which provides better performance.

 

ok thanks but is the y8 a good idea on my car? how much hp do you think it will give and how much does it cost?

 

this mod will only give you better throttle response unless you have a lot of crap done to your motor. they run anywhere from 100-175 for it depending what they have on it.
