Taking off power steering

Default Taking off power steering

A friend told me that if i take off my power steering then my axles will leak. Is this true or is he an idiot?

I know lots of guys that take their ps to be lighter, i don't think they would do it if the axles started leaking.

why not try it and see if it leaks?

Hahah, thats pretty funny.

Back to the subject, no you axles will not leak. You would be more concerned about the steering rack leaking. If you search there was a big topic on this matter. It will show you how to re-route the hoses on power steering racks.

That's pretty ****** funny. I didn't think it did but I was just making sure. This wan't a topic on making my car lighter or whether it would make me go faster it was just a simple question.
