Installing 99 JDM ITR - 97 GSR (Owners Opinions)
Alright heres the deal. Last week went through water and blew my engine (long story short) The point is I am buying the 99 JDM ITR engine w/ 42,000 miles and have a deal set up for $5200/shipped. I have the money to buy this engine, tranny, ECU and am pretty sure the deal will go through. The question is, is it worth it? I had a B18C1 setup w/ Spoon cams + bolt ons which put me mid-14's and I am expecting the same from this engine w/o bolt ons.
Anyone w/ the JDM ITR swap or experience in this matter lemme know what you think of your setup because I am going through with this and hope it is worth it. Technical replies appreciated. Hope that makes it short and sweet.

Understood, what are opinions on the swap though? Im looking to see if it is worth buying and installing, I know the technicals, trust me, its a self-install, just seeing what everyone thought about it.
you getting the whole swap including 4.785 fd tranny? that's sweet if so.
i had a 97 gs-r sedan, it was fun. then i put an R swap into an EK. that was even funner. i imagine going from a gs-r motor in your teg to an R motor in your teg would be fun too.
