Alright guys i found this e-turbo thing a little sceptical but i said what the hell!
Alright guys i found this e-turbo thing a little sceptical but i said what the hell!
i bought this "ACTURBO" twin turbo set up which is two 12v centrifugal blowers for $650.00 and put them on my wife's KIA(no joke). the guy at AC TURBO garanteed it produced boost under WOT.so i bought a digital boost gauge from jc whitney$30 .to my amazment at WOT it produced 3.8 psi boost and the G-TECH pro is showing me a 28hp gain"on a freakin KIA" anyways its comin off the kia and on my wifes crx si.i'll have pics soon. "laugh all you want i ain't laughin no more" money well spent

so how does it feel on the butt dyno....does it have mad 3rd gear kia tech or what???
Up to 800 CFM per turbo and 2 PSI boost
we need a quad turbo setup to achieve 8psi boost, better than greddy's turbo kit
didn't some people who bought it has the fan broken off and got sucked into the engine?

sorry needed to vent you guys haven't been so hard on the idea. but me personally i'm gonna keep workin with it.

Looking over it, it definetly looks more feasable than any of the other e-turbo e-superchargers I have seen.
I am still sceptical though.
If they had a money back garuntee I might do a simmilar test, but I would like to see more information.

Here is my thinking at this point...
The B18B / B18C / B18C5 probably flow about 215 - 300cfm at redline wot.
So obviously this turbo can blow more air than the engine sucks in. The question really comes in to, is it able to actually compress the air and hold compressed air?
Or is it just blowing more air than the engine can take advantage of?
It looks much more sturdy than everything else since it is alluminum and not plastic, and i Know there are functional electronic turbos out there (they are just as expensive, if not more, than exhaust driven turbo kits).

Exactly... you would have blown the engine already if you were boosting 4psi and no extra fuel management... and your car wont run right if it see's boost... it will be in limp mode unless you get check valves or a missing link.

keep in mind i have two of these things hooked up. 1600 cfm 3.8 psi. i unhooked one of them and the results sucked one makes it accellerate a little quicker than stock but not as noticable as two
