Anyone had trouble with 98 accord v6 auto trannys?
I just got a 98 accord ex v6 with less than 60,000 miles on it. It was a one owner car with clear history, no wrecks, etc. My other honda is a 90 CRX Si with 266,000 miles on it. It stills runs great but the a/c went out so I got the accord. I am used to man. trannys.
The accord seems to 'tug' when in 'cruising' gear(not cruise control) until the trans. downshifts to get up some speed. This is more noticable when the car starts to go uphill and goes away with change in gear. I dont see any tach jumps to reflect what I am feeling. The car seems to have good power and shifts smooth and solid otherwise.
I know the trans. has a "grade logic" control system. That may or may not have anything to do with what I am feeling. I kind of feels like the trans. cant decide what it needs to do just on the borderline of cruising and needing to downshift.
Any help ? Thanks SteveD , Lexington SC USA
