Fiberglass Integra Type R Rear Spoiler... Good or Bad?????

Ok, here's the deal, i found a great oppurtunity to purchase a brand new ITR rear spoiler, aftermarket of course for $190 painted..... My only concern is how will it hold up? and Will I have to worry about the shape being off??? I have seen some aftermarket type R spoiler that have a square shape on the top, instead of it being partially rounded.. What do you guys think, is it a waste of money to go with and aftermarket ITR spoiler, or is not that much of a difference...???
The main thing I am worried about is the shape.. Do i have reason to be concerned? Or is iit something I won't have to worry about, because the place makes the spoiler to OEM specifications, and it is made out of ISO 9002 material, which is a type of fiberglass. please let me know, as I only have 2 days to decide to purchase it.....
Any help will be greatly apprecited...
BTW, it comes with a lifetime warranty on paint and manufactruing of spoiler, i.e. crakcs, etc..
Does fibergalss crack easily???
Tell me guys what you think, thanks........

If you go for any aftermarket piece you should atleast go with a reputable manufacturer such as Wings West or Comptech (wings west makes comptechs body stuff). It may cost more but you run less of a risk of getting a POS.
I think fiberglass should be alright if its a on the rear hatch. If you were talking about a lower lip, i'd suggest getting urethane instead due to the durability and scraping issues.
$190 is slightly cheaper than usual. If you are happy with the replica type R spoiler, go for it.
Comptech and all make good stuff but you'll pay a premium. Your decision dude... i think its an okay score provided they use a higher grade clear coat ...

If I'm not mistaken, the OEM ITR spoiler is made of fiberglass too, just like the aftermarket ones. For a rear spoiler, you'd want the rigidity of fiberglass over urethane. I have an aftermarket ITR spoiler w/LED on my teg and I like it a lot. The holes lined up perfectly and there were no extra holes exposed like with the OEM ITR spoiler. I got mine off a seller on Ebay for $250 shipped brand new and painted colormatched.
I've seen urethane rear spoilers and over time, they start to sag. Urethane is good for things that take abuse like front lower lips but for spoilers, stick with fiberglass.
Hope this helps.

Check this place out. They sell OEM quality spoilers. http://www.spoilerdepot.com/Ca...&idB= A guy I know at work just got one for his 2002 Lancer and it looks great.
